Book of Hours Locket by Bill Skinner||EVAEX

Based on a piece of devotional jewellery of great richness; a protestant book of hours, which was also worn around a women’s girdle in the 16th century.  Pendant opens and can be filled with tiny sheets of paper.

Fashion jeweller Bill Skinner's jewellery combines exquisite detailing and design with a very British sense of wit. During his career he has worked with companies such as Van Cleef and Arpels, Garrards and Asprey. Since the 1980's he has worked in costume jewellery creating pieces for clients such as Butler and Wilson, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith.

For this exclusive collaboration, Bill has taken inspiration from iconic Tudor and Stuart objects and imagery from the V&A's collections; incorporating heraldry, stained glass, portrait miniature, love jewellery and textile references in these fabulously fashionable pieces. Each piece has a story to tell.
