        Extent:  Old Street - Mile End - Newington - Grosvenor Square
         
        Johann Homann was a German geographer and cartographer who began his career as an engraver. This map depicts the area of congestion charging for Hackney Carriages in 1736.
         
        Printed with pigment ink on to archival paper and laid on to cloth, it is fade resistant and light fast.   All the cases are individually hand made and the papers  use to cover them are printed but reproduced from a collection of original marbled paper dating back to c.1700.   Marbled paper pattern on slip case varies.
