V&A Myrtle Brooch by Michael Michaud

Item No.

      • Product Description:

This flowering Myrtle brooch features leaves cast in bronze from a Myrtle plant and is accented by freshwater seed pearls. Held sacred by the Ancient Greeks, Myrtle has long been a popular source of inspiration and ornamentation, particularly with brides. The Myrtle's white flowers and lance-shaped leaves serve as the inspiration for this elegant brooch.  Each piece is created directly from natural elements similar to the technique of lost-wax casting.

A firm favourite of V&A customers, Michael Michaud is renowned for his distinctive, original botanical inspired jewellery.  This unique jewellery is made by creating moulds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting.
