    In the early 17th century, when botanical books were popular and frequently used as design inspiration, the sweet pea became a fashionable flower motif. The sweet pea pod has a soft, curved silhouette conforming well to the stylized embroidery techniques of the time. The Sweet Pea jewellery collection is inspired by the extensive collection of Elizabethan and Jacobean embroidery held in the archives of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.Michael Michaud is known for his ability to recreate nature in metal. This beautiful collection is cast from real flora, capturing each natural detail of the original. It is then hand finished in bronze, sterling silver or gold using genuine stones and pearls.
