    Since its first acquisition in 1851, the Victoria and Albert Museum's jewellery collection has grown to become one of the greatest in the world, with objects spanning from Ancient Egypt to the present. The William and Judith Bollinger Gallery displays 3,500 jewels from this collection. The gallery centres principally on the story of European jewellery during the last 800 years.
