Morris 'Wandle' Secateurs Kit (Web exclusive)
These sassy secateurs are part of a range of "pretty useful tools" created for the V&A, and a must have accessory for any stylish gardener. Made by Wild and Wolf, they are decorated with a design by William Morris, a furnishing fabric in turquoise, red, blue and green flower pattern with candy-stripe tubes, entitled 'Wandle'.
The firm of Morris & Co. designed and produced a wide range of glass, tiles, furnishings and textiles which went on to become synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement and the Victorian era as a whole.
William Morris called this pattern 'Wandle', after the river that ran through his Merton Abbey Works 'to honour our helpful stream'. Design is from the V&A Collection.
The secateurs cut stems up to 19mm in diameter and have Teflon coated, heat treated blades for a smooth surface and long lasting sharpness. Safety catch. A matching set of trowel and cultivator are also available. Keep out of reach of children. Do not leave in direct sunlight as colour may fade.
