International Arts & Crafts Exhibition
17 March - 24 July 2005
To support this landmark exhibition we developed an outstanding range of products, many exclusive to the V&A and most reflecting the importance of the Arts and Crafts home and interior. They include applied designs by leading designers of the time such as Voysey, Butterfield, Ashbee, Morris and De Morgan.
The V&A staged the first major exhibition to explore the Arts & Crafts Movement from a truly international perspective. It was one of the most far-reaching, influential and popular design movements of modern times and the exhibition traced its global progress from Britain to subsequent widespread development and adaptation in America and Europe, until its final manifestation as the Mingei (Folk Crafts) movement in Japan.
